AFE Virtual Technical Session: Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza: What Is It and What Should Alaskans Know?

Have you heard of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI)? Are you aware of its impacts in Alaska? HPAI can affect Alaska’s domestic poultry, wild birds, and other wildlife, and HPAI’s effects are wide-ranging. In this 75-minute session, speakers involved with the multi-agency response to HPAI will provide an overview of HPAI, its history in Alaska, and the 2022 outbreak.
