AFE 2022: Marine Debris Removal, Prevention, & Response: Projects, Efforts & Observations Pt. 2
February 10 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
In this session you’ll hear from members of the Alaska marine debris community on recent and planned efforts, what they’re finding, and what they’re learning. Across Alaska there is an active and dedicated marine debris community working to address and prevent marine debris impacts. Projects use diverse and innovative methods but all have the common goal of understanding, removing, and preventing debris the impacts it has on the environment. This can be through cleaning debris from shorelines, working to change behaviors and prevent more debris from entering the ocean, or responding to specific debris events. If you are leading current cleanups, planning new efforts, or want to better understand current work on marine debris, this is a great opportunity to learn from those already working on the issue.
