AFE 2022: Bird is the Word: Conserving Migratory Birds in Alaska

Alaska’s birds – an important food source, a means of connection with the outdoors, and who helps keep pesky mosquitos at bay – are an integral part of many Alaskan’s lives and to the ecosystem as a whole. The Migratory Bird Treaty Act was established to conserve birds and compliance with the Act is important for a variety of activities and industries. Come hear tips and tricks from the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service – the federal agency that administers the Migratory Bird Treaty Act – for conserving migratory birds during project design, vessel and facility operations, and even your hunt. Bird conservation – it’s not just for the birds.
