AFE 2021: Expanding Alaska’s National Wetlands Inventory
March 3 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Alaska’s National Wetlands Inventory (NWI) dataset is to inform research, infrastructure development and planning. It is key piece of the geospatial framework for Alaska. However, data is only available for 42% of the state at this time. Through collaboration we can increase NWI coverage to 100% of the state by 2029. This presentation will cover what the NWI is, why it is vital to Alaskan’s and the strategy for developing statewide coverage.
