AFE 2021: Earn College Credit at AFE! An Informational Session with UAF Bristol Bay Campus

February 8 @ 3:05 pm - 3:35 pm

You can earn college credit for attending AFE. Join Eric Goddard and his team at UAF Bristol Bay Campus for this informative session on how to sign up and an opportunity to get your questions answered.

ENVI 150- Viewpoints in Environmental Science: 2021 Alaska Forum on the Environment is a 1 credit online class with a dual credit opportunity for high school students. The class is held Feb. 9 – April 27 on Tuesdays from 12-1pm, and students may attend sessions of their choosing for the duration of the class as set by the syllabus. Students must attend no less than 14 hours of sessions. Tuition is $60, and tuition assistance may be available (ask us how!) The last day for registration is Feb. 9, but be sure to register as soon as possible as there are only 40 spots available. This course is for students attending the Alaska Forum on the Environment, which is being held virtually this year due to COVID-19 restrictions. The course introduces the many ways science and public policy is presented within and across disciplines. It also demonstrates how environmental research conducted across Alaska is being communicated to the public. Students will interact with regional scientists and policy makers through a virtual format according to the AFE session schedule. To register for the class, follow the link below and enter all information required by the prompts. This will allow you to sign electronically.
Contact UAF Bristol Bay Campus to see if you qualify for assistance.
